Interview with Creative People

This week we had the opportunity to interview a wellknown creative agency from Russia. Creativepeople is a Moskow based agency listed among the TOP-100 best russian web-studios.
Their portfolio is amazing, their main work is based on creating wonderful websites, game concepts, plot creations, brandings, video and animations.


Dear Creativepeople Team, thanks for participating in this interview. Let me start off by saying that I’m a huge fan of your site and that I really appreciate what you do. Can you begin by telling us a little about the agency background? When was it found? How many creative heads are working behind the scenes?


Our CreativePeople Agency was founded by two State University — High School Of Economics graduates in faraway 2003. Sasha and Sergey, later becoming Studios Creative Director and Art Director, got acquainted in students council, where they dealt with PR activities. The positive experience appeared, the friendship was firm, and finally resulted in small web-studio.

Some time later guys were joined by another Sergey, Development Director in the future. In the beginning, work was intensive, but very merry. In the evenings, friends visited our office, took port wine and helped with creative ideas for current projects. Studio changed several office sites in Moscow, expanded staff up to 15 people and became that creative agency which it remains now. We have a cozy orange office in calm yard in the centre of city, a couple of nice wooden mannequins as the secretaries and more than 100 clients in all imaginable fields, from industrial production and financing to our creative colleagues and frivolous items shop for adults.




Tagline2009 choose you to be among the TOP-100 best web-studios in Russia. What do you think is the key of your success?


At the moment, according to different rankings and ratings, we are in the top-100 of the major Russias studios (Tagline 2009) and top-10 of the best Russias flash studios (Bombshock). The way to the fame was hard and is not finished yet. We aim at even more serious successes in the following years.
Idea is our creed. Every website, every movie, every project that we work at is filled with our creative ideas. Not only they help our clients to reach their targets, but also allow them to show themselves in front of their competitors, and allow us to actualize our creative ambitions. When dealing with our projects, we work as script-writers and directors with the film, and our work is based not on the common technical task, but on the full-scale scenario with sketches, photoscripts and «main characters dialogues». This particular thing is our main advantage, our values innovation.

 


What do you think defines a good designer and creative design?


As we think, good design and good designer are not just following all modern trends and styles, not only completion of certain norms and rules of website development. Despite our services are, in the first place, the commercial material and our product, our designers are more artists than technical specialists in the field of design. Every work is the creative material, intellectual product, reflection of our inner world and our experience. Creative design is noted for bringing every time the new ideas, which conquer the new horizons.

Moreover, every our employee is taking part in the creative process. Managers, programmers, pagemakers also suggest their ideas and participate in the creative process.


What would you consider to be your dream project?


A very complicated question. As I have already mentioned, we have very diverse projects in our portfolio, that is why we never get bored. When we dream about something, we just realize our dreams in our next project. However, I will be honest if I suggest that everyone would be very glad to develop the incredibly extensive porn website with great budget! A joke, of course. Just contact us, and we will dream together with you, and then we’ll materialize our dreams.


Last but not least, which resources do you use for inspiration?


Everyone here has his own stimulating and inspiring factors. Someone values participation and winning some competitions, someone needs full satisfaction of client and completion of planned tasks. But almost all of us like beer, Red Bull and good whiskey with cola!
